Dr. Lynsey Rector, DC, MS, CCSP
Dr. Lynsey Rector, DC, CCSP® is a sports-focused chiropractor with advanced training in sports rehabilitation and exercise science. She earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida and holds a Master’s degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Exercise Science from Logan University. She is currently pursuing an additional Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from Logan University.
Dr. Rector specializes in sports injury treatment, rehabilitation, and performance optimization, providing personalized, one-on-one care tailored to each patient’s goals. Her clinical interests include injury prevention, biomechanics, and helping active individuals safely return to peak performance.
Dr. Rector is actively involved in professional leadership and service. She serves as the Communications Chair for the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA) and as an Off-Campus Advisor for Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, supporting students through mentorship, professional development, and community engagement. In addition to her clinical work, she regularly participates in speaking engagements, health fairs, and health education initiatives, with a passion for empowering individuals through education and movement-based care.
Dr. Kirsten Shepard, DC
Dr. Kirsten K. Shepard (DC, ACP, LMT) is the Founder and CEO of TrueStopper INC, adding hemp-based solutions to natural pain management with recovery that promotes whole body wellness. For more than 15 years, she has established integrated practices that combine medical, chiropractic, acupuncture, and physical therapy approaches to whole body care, including the opening of clinics across Texas and in Los Angeles.
Dr. Kirsten K. Shepard started exploring the powerful healing capabilities of CBD in 2015 after her father was diagnosed with Mesothelioma and she witnessed, first-hand, the damaging effects of chemotherapy and radiation. This journey led to the creation of TrueStoppers, an innovative line of hemp-based topicals and transdermals that are scientifically proven, triple lab-tested, natural, and non-addictive.
Dr. Kirsten K. Shepard is an expert in her field; she has led educational sessions with other medical professionals and been recognized by notable leaders across health and fitness communities. She has been selected as a Profile of Prominence award recipient in Health Professions by the Texas legislature and received a Special Congressional Recognition from a Texas United States Senator.
She is a Cannabis educator, advocate, and an active member of OUM/PICA Physicians Advisory Committee, Texas NORML, the Minority Cannabis Business Association, and the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. Additional industry affiliations include membership with the Texas Chiropractic Association, the American Black Chiropractic Association, the Holistic Pediatric Association, the Bipolar Foundation of Central Texas, the Frederick Douglass Club of Austin, and the League of Women Voters, among others.
Dr. Indiya Simpson, DC
Dr. Indiya Simpson, DC, is a Doctor of Chiropractic, healthcare entrepreneur, and advocate for culturally responsive care. She is the founder of Wellness Where You Are, a mobile chiropractic practice dedicated to improving access to conservative musculoskeletal care and wellness services within diverse communities. Known as The Cultured Chiro, Dr. Simpson emphasizes the importance of cultural awareness, representation, and community engagement in achieving better health outcomes.
Through speaking, clinical practice, and community outreach, Dr. Simpson encourages both practitioners and patients to view cultural competence as an essential clinical skill that enhances trust, compliance, and long-term health outcomes.
Dr. Prosper Mekoba, DC
Dr. Prosper Mekoba is a Chiropractic Physician, Physical Medicine and Sports Rehabilitation specialist, and former Division I athlete. He is the owner of Pros Performance Chiropractic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Temple University and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. During his training, Dr. Prosper worked extensively with professional and collegiate athletes, developing customized rehabilitation and sport-specific performance programs. His experience includes assisting with the medical and performance processes for the NFL Draft and professional off-season training across multiple sports.
Dr. Prosper specializes in treating complex musculoskeletal conditions— particularly involving the shoulder, knee, and ankle—and has a strong interest in integrative and regenerative medicine. He offers a comprehensive approach to care, including spinal and extremity adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercise, dry needling, performance training, and advanced recovery modalities
Dr. Stephen Cooper, DC, FACMUAP
Dr. Stephen B. Cooper, DC, FACMUAP, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ChiMedical Management Group, a multi-state healthcare organization recognized for its innovative, fully integrated approach to spine and joint care. Under his leadership, ChiMedical Management Group manages two surgical centers, four medical facilities, and three chiropractic clinics across Alabama and Georgia, employing a multidisciplinary team of physicians, chiropractors, advanced practice providers, physical therapy professionals, and clinical staff. The organization consistently delivers high-quality, patient-centered care while generating $6.5–$7 million annually, reflecting both clinical excellence and operational strength.
With decades of experience spanning clinical practice, healthcare entrepreneurship, and executive leadership, Dr. Cooper has become a nationally respected voice in integrated healthcare delivery, musculoskeletal medicine, and organizational development. His model bridges chiropractic, medical, rehabilitative, and surgical disciplines—ensuring patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care that addresses not only symptoms, but root causes and long-term outcomes. His mission-driven leadership emphasizes education, compassion, accountability, and measurable results.
Dr. Cooper’s foundation was shaped early by extraordinary examples of achievement and resilience. Raised in Detroit, Michigan, he was inspired by a family legacy of academic excellence and elite athletic performance. He competed as a collegiate 400-meter track athlete before earning a rugby scholarship to Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he distinguished himself as a scholar and researcher. In 1990, he became the first recipient of the Harvey Lillard Scholarship awarded by the American Black Chiropractic Association, and he graduated in 1992 with academic and research honors.
A graduate of Grand Valley State University and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Cooper holds a Fellowship with the American College of MUA Physicians (FACMUAP) and is widely recognized for his pioneering contributions to military, hospital-based, and integrated chiropractic care, as well as leadership in home health and geriatric services. Licensed in Alabama and Georgia, he continues to influence clinical standards, compliance, and outcomes-based care models.
